Recruiting & HR Specialist (part-time)

Amla Commerce is searching for a part-time, in-house Recruiting & HR Specialist to help drive growth and enable the business to scale by advising on Talent Acquisition & HR policies and processes. If you’ve got what it takes to be a killer brand ambassador, can act as a ‘jack of all Talent Acquisition and HR trades’, and can schedule high-quality interviews, help onboard new hires, and embody the company values, you should keep reading!


  • Work with hiring managers to draft job descriptions and understand requirements of new positions
  • Promote new positions on company website and social media channels
  • Manage company LinkedIn Recruiting account
  • Work through candidate pipeline in a timely manner - responding to all applications and coordinating phone and in-person interviews
  • Identify and engage passive talent to help build Amla’s team
  • Research and uncover top talent using creative methods and sources (including but not limited to LinkedIn, Glassdoor, and other sources)
  • Act as an Amla evangelist - promote culture by posting updates, events and company photos on company website, social media channels, Glassdoor, and other sources
  • Help us roll out the red carpet and provide a great experience for candidates and new hires alike, in partnership with Marketing team and Execs


Position must-have’s

  • 2+ years of experience recruiting in a fast-paced organization in a relevant industry
  • 1+ years of experience in a coordination sourcing role
  • An intrinsic healthy hustle attitude and ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
  • Solid understanding of compliant hiring practices—working knowledge of federal, state, and local legislation is ideal
  • Superb communication skills—we promote proactive and professional interactions at all times, with employees of all levels
  • The ability to successfully multitask and manage time—this is a dynamic environment and priorities shift often!

Position nice-to-have’s

  • Knowledge of the ecommerce and/or software industry
  • Experience with LinkedIn Recruiting tool, Glassdoor
  • Familiarity with social media promotion and Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter
  • Understanding of CMS and CRM platforms, such as Umbraco and Hubspot
